What is Bitumen?

Reliable and Cost Effective Bitumen (which is also referred to as spray seal), is very similar to asphalt, as it is a combination of hot liquid asphalt as a binder and gravel as the main structural component. Unlike asphalt, which is premixed at an asphalt plant, the components are delivered separately and mixed on the job site.

Bitumen is nothing new, its has been used for over 100 years, all over the world, with great success, to resurface roads, parking lots, residential driveways, etc. and is used by Council to do roads all over Australia. The harsh Australian climate has a tendency to take its toll on any surface where water is likely to run off, which is a recipe for surface erosion that could lead to far more costly damage if left unattended.
